Ingredients for making Guarana Cake:
For the guarana cake:
3 cups of wheat flour (420 grams)
2 cups of sugar (320 grams)
300 milliliters of Guarana soda
1 tablespoon of baking powder
For the syrup (optional):
1 can of condensed milk
1 glass of coconut milk
How to make Guarana Cake:
Turn the oven on at 180ºC. Separate the whites from the egg yolks and beat the whites in an electric mixer until firm. Reserve.
Tip: Add a pinch of salt or a few drops of lemon juice to the egg whites to help beat faster.
Place the Guaraná, egg yolks and sugar in a blender and beat until creamy. Add 1 cup of flour, beat again until blended, add the other cup and repeat until all the flour is added.
Tip: If you want, you can replace the Guaraná soda with orange Fanta.
Place the Guaraná soft drink cake dough in a bowl and gently add the egg whites, so as not to lose air and get a fluffy cake. Finally add the yeast and mix without beating.
Pour the dough of this soda cake into a mold greased with oil and sprinkled with flour and bake in the oven at 180ºC for 30-40 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test. If you want to prepare the syrup simply by mixing the condensed milk with the coconut milk, pour over the cake after baking and unmold.
Tip: If you are not lactose intolerant, you can use butter or margarine to grease the pan.
Your cake with guarana is ready! Serve it with a cup of coffee or tea and I guarantee you will enjoy it. Do not hesitate to prepare and let us know in the comments what you think. Enjoy your food!
